In the dying embers of 2024, there’s just enough time to fit in one more review of a great extreme prog metal album.

This is such a good end of year surprise, I love it! Lightbringer is a highlight for me, it has some great melody and some awesome synths

I've been delayed in writing my review, but I'm glad others have started discovering this album in the meantime, probably the last great metal release of 2024 - I get occasional Coma Ecliptic BTBAM vibes due to the vocal effects, but it covers a range of sounds and executes it really effectively, I like it a lot

The atmosphere (spearheaded by those ghastly layered vocals I think) really lends this album a unique air. That said, I feel the guy trips over his own cables - so to speak - far too often…what could be gargantuan climaxes or forays into something larger just falls flat at times because it doesn’t feel as pieced together as I’d like. The guy is super talented so I’m eager to hear what he comes up with next. I heard the debut a while back and remember enjoying it a bit more but I need a quick refresher.
