I think the only bad song is Maniac Dance.. is very crap and non-Stratovarius. But this album have very good songs as Fight and Just Carry On.

Ahh, this album is very different to the rest of the Strato discography. It has its moments. I don't mind Maniac Dance.. most of the songs themselves are listenable except for 'Back To Madness', can't stand the vocals on the chorus. The trouble is that as an entire album, they attempted a completely different style and for the most part, the reception WAS NOT good. - most fans believe this to be their worst release. Even though there are some highlights such as 'Land of Ice and Snow', 'United' and the first three songs. I don't recommend this as the first album for a new fan. This album is definitely in the large fan-only territory.

Metal Storm's rating system puts this album at "average." I would call that a fair description.

There's a certain irony to the title - the album''s basically a dry run for Revolution Renaissance.

Unfortunately this is the weakest Stratovarius album and came between 2 relatively strong albums and series of legendary albums. It's not unmemorable at all and the songwriting is bland however, there are song okay songs here "Just Carry On", "United" and maybe "Land Of Ice And Snow" if you have a clear mind.

This was the point I genuinely thought they were going down. Last few albums were already disappointing, there were lots of confusing news every now and then about changing line-up, infighting, Tolkki's worsening mental health, declining quality and breaking up, so it seemed like the shit was going to hit the fan for good. I think this is the worst they ever got and could have been the end had troubled Tolkki not left the band shortly after.
