Let's be honest for a change, at least once man. You don't get into grindcore for the riffs, no! You don't get into grindcore because "it's technical" or because they play like virtuosos in the flesh, are you kidding me? You fucking get into this explosive genre because you want to see your brain coming out of your nose, yeah that's about right, grindcore is supposed to be hardcore and freaking dangerous, well? Circle of Dead Children is probably the most harmful and noxious band out there, and it takes one spin of Psalm of the Grand Destroyer to prove me right. Read more ›› |

Totally underserved hate on this album. Powerful, varied grindcore with a small dose of anguish and desperation that can be felt throughout the album.

One of my favorite grind albums at the time, but it's been so long since I've returned to it I have no idea what it even sounds like anymore. Once I finish playing catch-up with all the new content I've missed over the past few years I'll have to give this another go. My playlist of "new stuff to listen to" and "old stuff to listen to again" is growing beyond control...
