One year only after the release of the excellent Boxset "Misanthro Therapie" the cult French combo Misanthrope is back with a new album, "Metal Hurlant". As always some people will hate the really special style of the band (especially with the vocals and lyrics), and some others will love this album. Because believe me, if you like Misanthrope "Metal Hurlant" is a must!!!

I must confess, I love this album. It follows the vein of Sadistic Sex Daemon in the way that there are some very melodic moments (like on Misanthrope Immortel), but there are also some really heavy riffs supported by deep gutturals. For example, that intro riff of Théologie Du Misanthrope drives me crazy. L'Exaltation De La Croix, Le Triptyque Des Enfers, Le Supplicié... All are great songs, in my opinion.
