I know, I know, too many keyboards and Alex's guitar is muffled out most of the time. But, the song writing is unreal and the production is flawless. One of my favorite albums ever, period. On a side note, the song "Middletown Dreams" nearly brings me to tears when I listen to it now....so good.

Sorry to keep following you around, but if you continue to write words of wisdom about all my favourite albums, then I'm afraid you've acquired yourself a stalker!

Easily my favourite Rush album - "Mystic Rhythms" is and will always remain one of my all time favourite songs. Of all time. Ever.

And I'm sure there is such a thing as too many keyboards, but this ain't it!

Even though the production dates the album quite a bit (you can tell that it's 1985 MTV era right off the bat), the cathartic, goosebump-induced sensation I get hearing those bombastic keyboard passages is certainly timeless. The songs are well written as usual, which make the so-obviously 80s synths and electronic drums work very well still in this context. "Mystic Rhythms" is such an otherworldly song that sends chills, I adore it. Probably my favorite of their synth-drenched mid-80s albums next to "Grace Under Pressure."

I guess this is one of those albums you either love or hate mainly because of its outdated 80's production and synths. Personally I love this thing and it's one of my favourite albums from the band alongside Hemispheres and Grace Under Pressure. Rush could do no wrong, it's all good.

Three awesome songs are in this album: Mystic Rhythms (one of the bests Rush songs), Manhattan Project and Middletown Dreams.

Grown on me a lot over the years. The whole album is so moving and Geddy's bass playing really sticks out for me. The songs are so good I have a hard time deciding if this or Moving Pictures is their best 80's record

I absolutely love this album. I think Hemispheres is their best, but Power Windows has been by far my most listened to Rush album. The production is so well done, the synth work is amazing, even if the guitars do take a backseat for most of the album, it dosent mean bad composition. And the performances from all 3 members is still there like always.

I absolutely LOVE the heavy synth focus this album has, so much variation in sound, and their mixed damn near perfectly. This whole album is peak 80s Rush.
