Resurrection, all puns aside, resurrected my faith in these guys. Their early works were amateurish and a lot of their ideas never really went anywhere, but I think Resurrection and The Infection are more consistent and entertaining albums.

BADASS motherfucking album, been a long-time chimaira fan, and was worried about a new drummer/bassist. My worries are unfounded thankfully, I do miss andols heavy tom drumming a little but D'Amond suits the band well and doesn't take anything away from the sound, if anything maybe even added (?). Great album great band, pick it up and start killing people!!

I have to give it a couple of more listens, but after 3 times i am a little disappointed about The age of hell, The first 5 tracks a pretty kick ass, but ass in almoast every Chimaira album there are alot of "Almoast fillers":) many of the riffs on this album i've heard before on earlier records.
Does anyone else think the clean vocal bits sounds alot like Alice in chains?? ... thats not a bad thing though

I've been a fan of Chimaira for over a decade now and they never disappoint. So it's not a surprise they have made another great album.

What a bland release this is. Looking back on that statement it's unfortunate I bothered checking this out. It's not like I had high expectations or anything, but this just sends me back to what I thought of them in their early years. No bite, generic songs, and too much focus on that slowed down thrash aspect of their sound when they should be kicking it into high gear and rivaling the likes of Converge. Oh well. I think I've finally learned my lesson with Chimaira.

Just started listening to this album and am really enjoying it. Some of the songs remind me a lot of Alice in Chains. Shame 80% of the band have recently left.

One of their strongest albums for sure, this shows the band once again returning to their heavier, groovier roots and getting rid of much of the melody that haunted 'The Infection'.
