How do you make a comeback after nearly a decade of absence from the scene? And how do you do it if you're one of the 'savant' Scandinavian bands and one of your members has been spending this time in jail? Well, let me tell you, the way Dissection does it on Reinkaos is not the way to do it. The old fans will eat them alive. With this said, the new Dissection release is actually a pretty decent melodeath album when evaluated on its own terms.

I was listening to this today again and I thought girl the last song is so good that I want to dance with it if that doesn't piss off trve cvlt saaaaatanist

I agree, the whole album is surprisingly dance-y, considering the lyrical theme and the events that followed. In my opinion, it is a very enjoyable melodic death metal album, different and inferior to the previous ones but good for what it was.

Underrated. Reinkaos is very different compared to their their previous classic albums, but on its own it's really enjoyable to say the least. I remember listening to this all the time some years back.

Black Dragon is an absolute banger worthy of the club

Yet to listen to their top 200 album. But this seems to be a pretty decent and enjoyable album.

In the beginning I was made of clay. Then I bit the apple and they changed me to metal 🤘

if you approach it as if it were a made-for-radio melodic death metal album, you'd be more than happy.

I agree, this is the key to enjoying this album.

Really good production value, it sounds so good. Interesting mixture of styles. It's like hard rock with black metal lyrics. Classic imo
