My favourite records here are from Dark Avenger. A Shame they only released a demo. They could've been a great band.

This is one of my favourite metal compilation albums ever released, if not the absolute favourite. Whoever chose the songs clearly knew what's up, back in the 1984 this stuff was some of the best speed metal out there. Helloween had it all figured out already, Running Wild was almost there, but not quite yet, Hellhammer sounds dirty as hell and one can easily notice their influence on Autopsy and early death metal in general. Dark Avenger showed a lot of promise here and their songs are great as well, but for some reason their career never really went anywhere.
