I'm amazed this is on the website, since this is mostly jazz. That being said, this is utterly brilliant and a very significant step towards the rich avant-garde metal scene prominent today. Thanks to Introspekrieg for filling another one of my gaps in musical knowledge.

I know I am a couple of years late, but Naked City is a project of John Zorn. Calling this album a John Zorn album, is like calling Electric Ladyland a Jimi Hendrix album and not a Jimi Hendrix Experience album.

The Galactician
Man, when this record came out I listened to it almost every day for probably 3 years. It had a profound effect on the way I saw music.

Not all of Zorn's projects are masterpieces by any means, but this one was I think. This album and Torture Garden especially.
