I was talking recently with a friend about the most influential bands in each Metal sub-genre, the names that came up were Metallica in Trash Metal, Mayhem in Black Metal, Helloween in Power Metal, Death in Death Metal, and of course, Iron Maiden in Classic Heavy Metal.
