Metal Rasputin
Brilliant, brilliant album. These guys were some of the most talented and creative metal musicians at the time, and it really shows. Like there's Ron Jarzombek, Sean Malone, Sean Reinert, John Myung, Trey Gunn from King Crimson... I don't think the fusion-inspired metal has evolved much since the late 90's and bands such as Gordian Knot and Planet X, the bar was set so high to begin with.

When it comes to prog metal, this is essential stuff in my eyes.
