Oh wow, I didn't know Celldweller was on MS.

For those who stumbled upon this page, Celldweller is an electronic musician with a lot of electronic rock stuff mixed in with other genres. He's not really metal outside of a few songs, but he's pretty good at what he does. More for electronic fans than metal fans as his metal often comes off as a bit edgy and generic for industrial metal. His name was pretty big when I was into electronic music.

Overwatcher, MS Xena, crumbled him in no time. MS needs you to kill the boredom in here.

One of my favorite industrial musicians of all time. I got him added years ago before I was promoted to Staff. Lol

I still remember discovering him via "Switchback" on MySpace, before this album had even been released yet, and then rushing to my local Hot Topic (the only place that carried such underground music back then) to buy ths CD the day of release.

Fave track on this album, and one of my all time favorite songs in general, is still "The Last Firstborn".

Yeah, "Switchback" and "The Last Firstborn" are classics for sure. I still listen to both a ton.

While Celldweller has never been anywhere near my favorite musician, I respect the hell out of him. He's always pushing a new sound for himself, puts out a ton of work, and is immensely dedicated to his work. At the very least, his music gives me serious nostalgia. He, as well as Soilwork, Sonic Syndicate, Post-Clayman In Flames, and Pendulum, epitomized an entire "World of Warcraft generation" sound fusing electronic music and rock/metal. Also throw in a ton of metalcore and you've got 2006-2010 in a nutshell.
