Yep! My fave Entombed album, and one of the best death metal albums of all time. Which also contains my favourite Entombed song, "Severe Burns". \m/
The tracklisting for the album shown here though, is wrong. "Living Dead" is the first track and "Through The Collonades" the last. None of the songs are in the right order, aside from "Stranger Aeons" which is track 5. :\ lol

Fixed, with some extra info.

"Sinners Bleed" is an amazing song... definitely one of the most classic death metal songs of the early 90's.

The whole album is amazing... much better than Left Hand Path, but don't get me wrong, LHP is a classic as well.

For me it's not quite as effective as the band's debut album, but is still an excellent piece of Swedish death metal. My personal highlights are "Living dead" and "Chaos Breed".

I don't tend to enjoy much death metal from the 90s, but this is one hell of an album. That groove and that tone!

Of Entombed's first three and best albums, this is my least favorite. Still a good, solid death metal album, though.

Aimlessly executed and absolutely boring...Chaos Breed is the only good track. I can see why, they took less than one year to make this album.

Very good death metal classic, indeed. Rivals Left Hand Path, only slightly inferior for me.
That is because I dont find a really outstanding track here. I actually do enjoy all songs, with a marginal preference for the following: Living Dead, Sinners Bleed, Stranger Aoens, Chaos Breed.
But there is no song that is strongly memorable, such as the title track of LHP.
Then again Clandestine is probably more consistent over all.
Well after all, this is all minor differences. Both around 8.1-8.2 for me.

After Death's Leprosy, this was one of the first DM albums I remember buying. For me it toes a fine line somewhere between the early DM sound of LHP and the death'n'roll sound of WB. It's groovy as fuck without sacrificing an ounce of that brutish, punkish aggression.
For me side 1 is slightly better than side 2 but that's arguably the case with 99% of records so a minor quibble. A smack to the face 9/10 record any day of the week.

One of the best death metal albums I have ever heard, such a great combination of groovy riffs and melodies, and heaviness.
Dare I say I actually prefer this one to LHP, even though LHP has a higher significance to the early Death Metal scene, and is also remembered more for the unique guitar tone that sounded like a chainsaw effect, but there aren't any tracks I dislike on this album whereas there are a few on LHP I wasn't keen on, despite the title track on LHP being the best death metal song ever IMO.

This is actually a really interesting comment for me. I also have often found that I prefer the 1st half of albums rather than the 2nd half.
I often attribute this to the fact that when I listen to an album many times (always starting from the beginning) I don't always get to the end of the album. So, in total, I've listened to the first songs of an album more often than the last songs. Therefore, it could be that I like the first songs more because they're more familiar to me.
However, it could also be that the band chooses to make the 1st half "objectively" better in order to grab the listener's attention right from the start.
Also, the fresh energy of the start of an album can wear off near the end making the last songs less memorable. I guess that the real reason might be a combination of these different factors.
Of course there are exceptions where the last songs are a great finale to an album, but more often I encounter albums with better songs on side 1.

I agree with your assessment! I'm not sure whether I prefer LHP or Clandestine. I found it pretty hard to get into the vocals of Clandestine - I sometimes found them quite weak. LHP I found far more approachable (due probably to the phenomenal opening title track).
Now, though, I've gotten into Entombed's sophomore release as well - and I've got to say that it's just as much a masterpiece as LHP!
My favorites are Living Dead, Sinners Bleed, Stranger Aoens, and Chaos Breed as well. I'd also add "Crawl" (some of the riffs with the lowest guitar tone here, plus a cool solo) and "Through the Collonades" (with surprisingly lighter melodies)

For me it still is like that today. I like both their first two albums equally much, only difference to my old comment is that they both grew to an 8.6 for me. Both dm classics, no need mentioning. What might be worth mentioning on the contrary is that while the albums please me equally much I find they are totally different albums.

This has better riffs and song-writting than LHP, but lack the predecessors atmosphere.
