Isn't this too short to be an LP?

I think it more so depends on how a band views the material. For instance, Hypothermia's Gråtoner EP is over 50 minutes in length.

Oh, that's good to know, cheers I've always thought that in order to qualify as an LP an opus had to clock at 35 mins. Actually thinking about it, that would be asking a lot from a grindcore band

It really depends, Charles Bronson's Youth Attack LP was 12 minutes long, but also consisted of 22 songs. Wormots albums are under 20 minutes too.

I always thought artists released EPs to gauge the interest of the fanbase and/or experiment with their sound.

I used to think in the same way but some bands put their best materials on EPs. Jesu, Blut aus Nord and Deathspell Omega are good examples.

I haven't heard much from those bands, but perhaps those EPs were positive outcomes of an experiment. I suppose, it could have been that they thought the opus required no further material or perhaps couldn't write any more material to match what was already written.

Listened to this album. Surprised me cause not a lot of Grind catches my attention, but this flowed nicely with some traditional Death elements I really liked. Want to own this now.
