So the first album was great power metal ,and then for some reason the line up changed and this is pretty much full on thrash metal. Mike Jastremski went to play on Heathen's debut, which is kinda cool as he was involved with both of the strong debuts. "Protectors Of The Lair" however is lacking some of the great songwriting of the "Flight Of The Griffin", it's pretty generic thrash with a lot of heard-it-a-1000-times-already riffs, it's well executed album though. Tier 2 thrash IMO.
