I am the Magician and the Exorcist. I am the axle of the wheel, and the cube in the circle. “Come unto me” is a foolish word: for it is I that go.

How is that final track? Similar to "The Epigenesis" by any chance? Because that's what I'm hoping for the most.

Well, you'll ultimately judge that for yourself, but yes, I'd say they're similar enough for you to be satisfied.

I prefer Enki to The Epigenesis as a whole. It's about 10 minutes shorter which really plays in its favor. Still a tad too long for a Melechesh album. Dragging, just a hair.

So much energy! The vocals are vile, the drums insatiable, and middle-eastern sounding riffs catchy as hell. Unfortunately, it is also fairly uneven with some songs that I don't care for at all. Subsequent listens significantly reduced my initial rating. Better than Epigenesis, but not as consistently enjoyable as Emissaries. Full review here.

Thanks for reminding me that I need to see that movie!

Listening to the album stream now and so far I'm impressed.

Epic use of reference, Zaph. I watched it on Tuesday. It's amaze-balls. JK Simmons. 'Nuff said.

I can add this to my list of '2015 favorites' now. Awesome riffs and grooves, totally disgusting vocals (which is a good thing), and the featured musicians are great. Definitely a highlight of the year so far from an already excellent band. Melechesh can't disappoint!

Awesome album. Closely resembles The Epigenesis in the riff department, but I think this one wins with its songwriting and overall flow being more consistent.

As a middle eastern i like their oriental tunes but unfortunately it's not that different from their old stuff they need some twist ....

I've always seen this band as some kind of second-rate Absu.
It's decent but I never got into it. Though I think I could enjoy it if it wasn't for the fact that I dislike vocals. They have something almost core-ish that gets on my nerves.

Still, I find Absu superior on every aspect.

Pretty good, but I feel like this is a repeat of Emissaries and Epigenesis, and not quite as good as either.

Currently playing it through, not sure I've played it since I first downloaded it around its release, but I'm really digging it. Above anything else I really enjoy the tone and sound, and I think a more mid-tempo pace suits them well

It still has that quality guitar sound, and the songs maintained a great pace throughout the album, but the riffs weren't as memorable as Emissaries, nor were the songs, especially the longer one's, I found they didn't really excited me that much tbh.

It's a very solid album, but definitely a step back from Emissaries imo.
