Like the title suggests, the new Kamelot album is very epic - probably more than any other album I've heard, more orchestrated, more dramatic. And it totally destroys the entire Kamelot catalogue, taken together! I'm dead serious here - the previous Kamelot albums were great, but hardly any match for the glowing brilliance of Epica. It's a conceptual album with 10 songs and 6 interludes, which help to create the atmosphere . These interludes are also the only chance for you to catch your breath, because ALL 10 songs on Epica are absolute mindblowing masterpieces with no single flaw. NEVER I've heard an album with all songs so equally brilliant and powerful, which capture you and don't let go until the end.

The best Kamelot album imo. Even better than The Black Halo!

Edit: I gave The Black Halo a 10 too, but if I were to give a more precise rating, TBH would receive a 9,5. It's not as catchy as this one.

I had to, in my own words, "condition" myself into liking this album - it was well worth it, as it is one of my favorites now. You just have to listen to it like it is a stageset musical rather than a metal album and all of the elements will come together and amaze you more with each listen. Center of the Universe is as fantastic as power metal gets.

When I heard this i thought this was their best. Then I heard Black Halo and j think they cannot do anything better than that. So I gave a 8 coz this should be 1 less than BH.

In the beginning I was made of clay. Then I bit the apple and they changed me to metal 🤘

Keeping up with the improvement from album to álbum, the melodies are nicer. Center of the Universe is a nice listening, and Farewell has nice guitars. Starts to have hints of choir like in Opiate Soul.
