It saddens me to imagine how amazing this could have been with Damian. Still enjoyable album.

This is good, and I think the best since Dead Reckoning. It's more adventurous than the last two (which kinda blur into one for me) and that's good. Maybe it's a tiny bit too long but otherwise it's great.

I was expecting a lot more. Good album, but lacks some life and spark in it.

Excellent album! I agree that it's their best since Dead Reckoning, and I think as a whole, this album is even better. Good melodies and catchy choruses, good musicianship as always, and good vocals. I like Damian but this is better without him, I think.

I also agree that "Legends of the Shires" is the best Threshold album, since "Dead Reckoning". At first, i was a little bit cautious about it. But after a few spins it blew my mind, in such an amazing and beautiful way, specially the first part of the álbum. But the second one is really good and consistent aswell. It really catches the essence of the band, from the time when the late Andrew McDermott was on the lead vocals. I felt that nostalgia in a deep way.
Glynn Morgan is in great shape, i have to say. And he gave life and more meaning to this record. I understand why the band wanted to make this change and they nailed it for sure. One thing i will always complement about Threshold, is their capability to value the singers they´ve had over the years, by creating álbuns that fit their style of voice perfectly. That shows creativity and inteligence.

Absolutely, same story for me. I went from "Meh, this is ok I guess, I miss Damian." to "Holy crap, this is fantastic!" within a couple of listens.

Absolutely, the exact same feeling i had.
"The Man Who Saw Through Time" is a genius song. Absolute masterpiece.

Actually I am not a big fan of progressive metal with an exemption of Dream Theatre and I really don't know why I listened to this album but it made me listen to it repeatedly. I removed few songs of 8:00 plus and I had to give 9 for this great album.

A little bit long, but there some songs I really like here and there. Morgan's vocals are best for this sound, looking forward to more.
Edit: fantastic lyrics and many good songs, a few being amazing. Sense of pacing and transition is impeccable, check "The Man Who Saw Through Time".
Edit2: Up to a 9 now (8.5). Almost every song is lovely, and the weaker few are still solid (On The Edge, Superior Machine).
