I wouldn't compare it with Astonishing. Those are two proposals very different.

The songs I heard are very nice. I will give a deeper viewpoint after listening the whole album.

Over -hyped superstar line-up. Very generic and no real chemistry for me! i'll give this one a miss

Well, I like it. Nothing special that will blow your mind but still a very solid prog album and I enjoy listening to it from time to time. So yeah, promising first release imo.

Yeah, I'd be up for a second album.

Hey! Don't think I'm going to follow Portnoy withersoever he goeth! he was a good fit for Dream Theater but what? Sons of Apollo is supposed to be this new wave that's going to change history? Nah mate, you can't take the best muso's from the best bands and expect them to work together to invent anything phenomenal, this is pretty average if you ask me.
