I really enjoyed this

I am really digging this album and it has some really neat drums and guitar solos. I hear a lot of influences, sounds like a mix of old Mastodon, with a bit of Elder.

That final track "Drowning Dog" is very catchy. Had it stuck in my head for days. Love that song.

Fuck me dead, this record is absolutely amazing. What an addictive drug.

This album fucking shreds

Formulaic High on Fire. The usual dosage with the usual aggression.

Outside of maybe two songs, this album is very forgettable.

The Great Matt Pike ! I like his vocals so much , his screams give me the stank face every time . don't know why he doesn't do backing vocals or even lead vocals in Sleep ... probably Al wouldn't let him lol
the title track and Freebooter are pretty good , have some interesting riffs and are very energetic , but man the rest doesn't live up to those 2. I mean there are some other good moments here and there , like both longest tracks of the album (2nd and the 4th) are very boring , "Steps Of The Ziggurat/House Of Enlil" sounds like a 9 minute build to the title track , it doesn't matter how good the title track is , 9 minutes of build up is VERY long.
Om does long songs WAY better than HoF. it's not obviously on par with Death is This Communion.

Drowning Dog and Steps of the Ziggurat are instant classics

Might check these guys out I do like me some Stoner and Sludge.
