This might be my favorite album of hers if I give in to my raw emotions. Maybe not the whole album but "Run Forever" and specially "Haunted Houses" strike a heavy chord with me. "Run Forever" was the perfect song for a relationship that I knew was against all odds. I remember how often I hit replay with "Haunted Houses" as I was slowly realising that my relationship with my ex was about to end. At the same time I was leaving behind my old apartment after almost 7 years of living there. Making all these changes in my life hurt like hell and I'm not quite sure I'm over it yet. But "Haunted Houses" was without a doubt the best soundtrack to this period of mine. Thank you, Emma. This curse is old. Last through the years The tower, tall, is falling here So keep distance. Keep your distance from me... Don't say this house is not haunted This house is haunted like Hell on Earth for me Don't say it's not what you wanted The tears come flooding like holy water seas Don't say this house is not haunted This house is so haunted, it runs in the family Don't say this house is not haunted This house is so haunted, won't ever let go of me
