Eicca (Eino) Toppinen was born on August 5th 1975 in Vantaa (Finland).
Eicca began to learn cello at the age of 9 and decided, at the same time, to start playing drums.
He played in several orchestras, like the "Radio Symphony Orchestra" or "Avanti", and he is also a foundation member of the Sibelius Academy Cellosextet.
In 1993, with Max, Paavo and Antero, he created Apocalyptica. Eicca is responsible for all the arrangements of songs and he is also a composer.
