Verikalpa - Biography
Biography
Already in 2006, Jani (vocals) and Sami (bass) got the idea of a project called Verikalpa, which would play folk / troll metal and the song would become Finnish with oulu dialect.
The band was supposed to be just a recording project, but the songs drowned in the lords themselves so well that they couldn't just leave it to project. So the hunt for the right co-workers started.
As a result of a tough search, Jussi joined Heikkilä as a guitarist. Until now, Jani also performed guitar, along with songs
but wanted to concentrate solely on singing, as a result of which Janne Niva was attached to another guitar.
Now it was time to get some publishable material in the yard and the recordings started.
However, the band did not yet have a keyboard player at this point, so Sami decided to ask if Jussi Sauvola, who was also impressed with Catamen, would be able to record the keyboards.
After recording, Sauvola decided to stay in the band's standard equipment because he liked the songs and the keyboard player was free.
Until now, we had to resort to machine drums, but Aleksi Heiskanen became a drummer who later decided to remain in the band as a permanent member.
In autumn 2015, Verikalpa also became active in the gig and played his first gig at Hevimesta in Oulu on 6 November 2015.
In December 2016, Verikalpa has started recording his debut album.
