Toxin is a thrash metal band from Kassel, founded in 1986 by Frank Ungewickel (guitar) and Michael Kramer (drums). Andreas Wendel (bass) joined the band in the same year. The band has released two demos ('Intoxicated', 'Progress And Decay') as a trio before adding a second guitarist (Jendrick Pieck) for the first EP ('Aphorisms'). This was replaced during the release of the first record by Stephan Kaufmann (guitar). In this lineup, another LP ('Misantrophy'), an EP ('Cloned') and another demo ('Disparity Of Views') were published. Although the band has stopped all activities from 1996 to 2002 and from 2003 to 2010 due to a lack of progression, this occupation is today, or still is.
