Assumption was generated in 2011 by Giorgio Trombino and David Lucido (Haemophagus and previously in Morbo, Undead Creep, Gravesite) to pursue a transcendental vision of doom death metal.

Across three records - Mosaic Of The Distant Dominion (Demo, 2012); The Three Appearances (EP, 2014); Absconditus (LP, 2018) - the vision has deepened into growingly extreme, psychedelic and mesmerizing dimentions.

With a line up consisting of members from Italy and Slovenia, Assumption have played shows festivals around EU (Kill-Town Death Fest 2019, Darken the Moon etc.) and Japan (Asakusa Deathfest 2019).
