The name Mythos comes from the members' ideas about myth and legends, formed in 2011 by Ahmed Hassan (vocalist) and Amr El Gendy (guitarist), then we collected the rest of the band, playing Groove Metal, covered too many bands and our idols (Lamb Of God), played the most famous tracks from their discography.

In the middle of 2011, we performed their first appearance at a charity concert at El Shallalat at Alexandria, from our performance; we collected great fans from their playing.

After a few months, Mythos signed to perform another concert at Cairo (Heavy Tune Vol. 2) with great and extreme bands, and the concert was sited at Jorzine magazine.

But after the concert, the band took a long hiatus because of unexpected circumstances from 2011 until 2016, and we are back one more time to continue the success.

After the coming back many changes happened in the band line up and Gasser Helal (Bassist) joined us as a bassist, and now we are back to preparing our materials one more time and will share with you our latest tracks.

In 2017 we released our first EP entitled 'Eternal Rage' consisting of 6 tracks. The EP had many great reviews which inspired us to continue creating more tracks. After that Mythos performed many live concerts in Egypt including Alexandria & Cairo.

In March 2019 Mythos participated in the Wacken metal battle but unfortunately we didn't win although we received great feedback from the fans & jury.

Our second album entitled 'Tales Of The Fallen Empires' was released on 23rd July 2019 as we hope that this album changes Mythos path and dig deeper into the world of metal.
