Kevel is a metal band from Athens, Greece.
Their music cannot be easily categorized in a single metal sub-genre, as they create an unconventional yet coherent sonic boulder, extending away from specific "scene" rules and barriers.

On 5/12/2014 their first DIY album Hz Of The Unheard was released, delivering instrumental progressive sludge compositions. Kevel spent the next year promoting the album through live gigs and press, receiving several positive reviews.

Since 2016, they have been working on their sophomore album, exploring extreme metal paths, combining black metal and progressive elements, with the addition of vocals and synths, for the first time.
On October 23, 2020 Mutatis Mutandis was released by I, Voidhanger Records, a cosmic journey of colliding sub-genres (progressive, sludge, black, post) competing against each other to answer existential questions though inevitably contributing to an organized chaos.
