Havengarth is a modern Nordic metal band from Helsinki, Finland. They approach present day metal sound with distinctive elements from melodic death metal amongst other Nordic influences for a lucid creation.

Havengarth made its debut with materials for the full length album The Path Through Reminiscence which had been developed since 2017 in the name of another melodic death metal band Pave The Path. As the vocalist Eemil Chen returned to Finland from Canada the following year, he started to refine the compositions with the first guitarist Toivo Klemi who had collaborated online. After diverging from the earlier materials and ideas, the recording sessions began with the associates including a second guitarist Teemu Linkola since early 2019. Drummer Jakko Helle and bassist Juha Savimaki joined the band in the autumn of 2019, the band released a single "Oar Held High" with a music video on 1st January 2020 after finishing album recordings. New guitarists Roope Ahtiainen and Matti Hyyrynen joined the band in the summer of 2020 when it came to time differences with the previous guitarists. The band started rehearsing the album in Helsinki in full formation ever since then and has prepared for the performance, another single "Under the Branches" was released soon after with a music video on 1st June 2021. While finishing the album production, Matti Hyyrynen departed for a similar reason and would remain as an occasional live member. Debut album The Path Through Reminiscence was released around 25th September 2021 digitally at first, while the final product was being brought into its shape.
