Biography
Formed just as an idea many years ago by Flesh, Crille and Flink. Some rehearsals was made during 2002 and even a demo was recorded, but then under the name THE MORTICIAN DEAD. During this period they had no full time singer, so a friend named Pehr Larsson was asked to do some session vocals. The members was not satisfied at all with the final result of the demo. Their ground ideas and their visions to make pure energy music was more or less destroyed. They decided to put the band on ice for a while.
In the end of 2003 they maked the deicision to pick up the instruments again and give it another try. This time so was the inspiration and the creative feeling alot more stronger, nothing you could compare with in the year of 2002. A more suitable and honest music direction was found, and there was no doubt that it would be Heavy Metal Rock. While the old demo was more a search through alot of different music direction they now had found a perfect and suitable ground. Their love for Rock and Metal from the 70´th and 80´th with bands like JUDAS PRIEST, MOTORHEAD, VENOM, ACCEPT, BLACK SABBATH as some of their biggest influences they now would find what they was searching for from the beginning.
They knew that a full time singer was more than important if this was going to work from the start. They knew that Erik was a big time fan of stuff like MOTORHEAD and VENOM, and they also knew that he could sing extremly dirty and with an attitude that would remind you of old school faves like Cronos in VENOM. He would be perfect for that position. When he was asked to join the band he was into it directly. 4 people was now gathered with 100% inspiration and dedication to create Heavy Metal Rock.
As this was a new start one other thing also ofcourse was important, to change the band name. After some different suggestions of all different kind of namnes they felt for sure 100% satisfied with the name DECEIVER.
Just a few days into the new year of 2004 they got the news that Singapore label KONQUEROR RECORDS was interested to release the recording that they will do in Abyss Studio in May 2004 as a M-CD release. This was ofcourse great news, specially if you think of that DECEIVER not yet have released anything official. Just some riffing rehearsals for some friends.
DECEIVER are right now rehearsing like bastards for the studio session. But be sure that more history about this band will be here soon. DECEIVER will for sure rock your heads!

2004 - The band gets started in January by Pete Flesh, Crille Lundin and Flingan. One month later Destormo (vocals) are asked to join forces. Five tracks were done for a demo recording in the end of May. But instead of a demo release, they got an offer from Iron Fist Productions to release it as an MCD instead. The offer was accepted and the self-titled MCD was released in July.
2005 - Ten months after the MCD recording, they enter Abyss Studio again for the recording of their debut full-length album - "Riding with the Reaper". The album was released in April (Iron Fist Productions). Some shows were done in April and May to promote the album (Inferno Festival, United Metal Maniacs Festival, etc) and some weeks after their last show; they went separate ways with singer Destormo, due to his other commitments with Serpent Obscene and Maze of Torment. After some time of failing to find a new singer, they decide to record a test demo with Pete Flesh on vocals, the result turns out to be very satisfying for all parts and the search had come to an end. The inspiration are at the top and ten new songs were written in three months. They enter Abyss Studio again in October for the recording of their second full-length album - "Holov Posen Tro May Trot". The result turned out even more aggressive and intense then before, but still with the typical DECEIVER sound, thrashing heavy metal!
2006 and 2007 - Some shows were done to promote "Holov Posen Tro May Trot" that had its release at the beginning of 2006. 2007 was more or less inactive and the band was put to rest.
2008 - Pete Flesh gets the inspiration to write material for a new and one last album. Iron Fist Productions is now out of the picture and they sign a deal with Pulverised Records. In June, the band gets together and enter Abyss Studio to record "Thrashing heavy Metal", an album that has a big spectrum of influences and sums up what DECEIVER is all about. Some last shows will maybe be done in 2009.
