Vendaval was founded in November 2002 by the members of the group Nörthwind: Txema Trinidad, Miguel Fernández, Fernando Argüelles and Luis Fernández, after the release of two records of great repercussion on the national scene of the genre such as "Viento Del Norte" and " Chronicles Of Áravan: The Return Of The King”.
The band intends to get out of the clear style of epic power metal that marks Nörthwind's trajectory and surprise with a mixture of heavy metal in the purest traditional style with forceful rhythms and direct and powerful songs.
His first album “Vendaval” (June 2003) was recorded at Sound Source Studios by Arkaitz Carrasco and includes a tribute to the mythical band Panzer.
Similarly, in March 2005, “Mi Otra Mitad" was released, recorded at the Eclipse Studios by Dani Sevillano, and a special edition of both works was made in Mexico in collaboration with Gravis Records, as well as a promotional video-clip of the album. Theme "My Other Half". In October 2005, the Rockstation program of the 40TV television network presented the video-clip "Muerte Al Alba", a song selected by the band's followers as the most representative of the album "Mi Otra Mitad".
In 2007, the band is invited to participate with the song "Mexica" in the International Tribute to the mythical Colombian formation Kraken and in the fall of 2008 the recording of the album "Estigmas" begins, which goes on sale, now exclusively at the international level. worldwide, through Gravis Records in March 2009. "Estigmas" includes four extra songs, among which is a version of "Jerusalem", a song from the album "Entre El Cielo Y El Infierno" by the Argentine band Rata Blanca , performed as a duet with its original singer, Mario Ian. In addition, the release of "Estigmas" is accompanied by a promotional video-clip of the first single "Pecado Inmortal". Vendaval also participates in 2009 in the tribute to the band Coz, "Rockancoz", with the song "Chica de Cristal".
In 2010 the collaborations continue, this time in the tribute to the band Asfalto with the song "Capitán Trueno", in 2011 in the tribute to the legendary Ronnie James Dio with the song "Killing The Dragon" and in 2012 in the Metal Meltdown: Thrashbrute with the songs "Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good" by Megadeth and "Eye Of The Beholder" by Metallica.
2012 marks the tenth anniversary of Vendaval, nothing better than a tribute to ourselves and to all those who during these years have been directly or indirectly part of the band, which is why our fourth album “Arba'a” is recorded in the middle of the year, again in collaboration with Gravis Records and distributed in Spain by Leyenda Records, which goes on sale in November 2012.
In January 2017, the recording of "Por El Tiempo" begins, his fifth album, which went on sale in November of the same year and which has collaborations as important as Fabio Lione (Rhapsody, Angra...), José Cano (Sentinel) and Manuel Rodríguez (Gizëh, ex-Sphinx).
