Winds Of Genocide - Biography
Biography
Formed in the rural wastelands of County Durham, North East England. The idea for Winds of Genocide came about in late 2005 during some heavy drinking sessions and after Kat (vokills-ex vocalist of Old School Death metal band Morstice and Heavy Doomrockers Blessed Realm) and Glynn Hall(ex guitarist of Crusty Death Grinders Revolt and Sludge/HC/powerviolence band Hara Kiri)were getting restless of not being in a band after a few years each in the musical wilderness. The founding members of the band initially had problems finding other members/people to complete the line up who are into such underground extreme punk-metal music in the Durham city area who can play drums and bassguitar but eventually found likeminded people to complete the line up in the form of a Swedish guy called Linus who is now playing drums and also Dan who joined on bass Since Feburary 2009 the band have been furiously writing and working on songs/material first of all as a three piece and then from October 2009 as the current 4 piece.
