Symphress was born in 2015 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, initially as an acoustic-ambient musical project. Later on, in the spring of the same year, the band slowly turned towards progressive and symphonic rock and metal music. Mortua Est was the first song released by the band, in 2017, and it represents but a small part of the Symphress sound. Concerts then slowly came as well, the debut being in 2016 in Flying Circus Pub (Cluj-Napoca). Starting 2018, Symphress started to appear in festivals as well, such as Bucovina Rock Castle and Celtic Transilvania Fest, among others.
