Inspired by innovative, brutal music, (the)PLASMARIFLE are here to contribute a unique sound to a cluttered, cookie-cutter metal scene.Their home city, Montreal, has always been fertile ground for spawning jaw dropping death metal bands, with a scene as prolific as it is scrutinous. Having just come off the hugely successful Montreal Assault tour with Despised Icon, Ion Dissonance and Beneath The Massacre, (the) PLASMARIFLE are set to start some fires outside their home country, showcasing their dizzying technical chops and unorthodox song structures to the masses. With their slamming debut full length While You Were Sleeping..., the band have displayed an unpredictable and refreshing take on the death metal genre. The album was produced and mixed by Bart Frydrychowicz (Quo Vadis), mastered by Yannick St. Amand (Despised Icon, Nefastus Dies, Beneath The Massacre) and features epic artwork from Colin Marks (Aborted, Strapping Young Lad, The Red Death). Now these five individuals, each with his own creative fingerprint and ingrained passion for extreme technical music, have set their sights on the world to muster up every ounce of physical ability, prowess and energy they can, and to combine brutality with good clean fun is their goal; as long as a few skulls are smashed in the pit along the way!
