Nazhand (/næƷænd/) was formed in autumn of 2004 , while the only member was 15 years old.
The name which his parents has chosen for him on his birthday (1989/July/18) is Sam (/sa:m/)
which means fire and death in Persian language.
He has released lots of demos and full-lengths (more than 20 albums) 'till today and most of Nazhand's works has been released by himself.
Since 2009 he has started releasing his music with underground labels, just because of abhorrence of music-stealing but he still insist on being an underground band, cause of the spirit of his music which he claims it needs "specific listeners".
He insists on calling his music genre Blackness Music, instead of Black Metal.
Nazhand's lyrics are mostly about depression, suicide, causeless and unreasonably of life, totally the gist of his lyrics is blackness.
