Biography
Grand Master is an energetic progressive heavy metal band from Winnipeg Manitoba. They have played truck loads of shows since their inception in 2007, including higher scale shows and tour dates with established acts such as 3 Inches Of Blood, Into Eternity, Devin Townsend and more.
Grand Master does not discriminate, maintaining both an acoustic set and a show for the headbangers. With a line up coming from all sorts of musical backgrounds, including both classical and modern, the name of the game is diversity. Their repertoire is wide enough to frighten small children and endear even the most jaded of hipsters, sometimes simultaneously.
Grand Master's first release came in the form of a four track EP entitled Omen, which they supported with a tour of Western Canada in July of 2010. This was followed in 2011 by a 2 track single and corresponding tour, heralding the approach of a forthcoming full length album.
The band released it's first full length album in 2012. A collection of seven eclectic tracks, The Dream Alive has seen success both locally and internationally. The band followed the release with a western Canadian tour, and are currently preparing for the next full length release - Saligia.
