Biography
Anthropia is a metal band based at Nice (France), created in 2003.
The first album The Ereyn Chronicles Part One has been worldwide released in September 2006 by Magna Carta (US) and received very good reviews from all sides, even getting the Album Of The Month label in Rock Hard France (2006 December).
Back then, Anthropia was a solo project created by Hugues Lefebre. He decided nevertheless to recruit musicians, to bring this first album alive on stage. The live shows received great feedback as well (live report of the Paris show with Magnum in Rock Hard France-June 2007). More than a project, a real band was born.
The new album is a brand new concept, called The Chain Reaction It follows the musical direction of the first opus, with again this good mix between progressive, melodic and power metal. The environment is this time contemporary with pieces of Sci-fi /biblical elements : we meet a soul who is fed up with always doing nicely what he is told : in his next life, he will do exactly what he wants. Unfortunately, this behaviour and the tragic loss of his soul mate will lead to an unexpected outcome : the end of all mankind.
Even if Hugues remains the main composer of Anthropia, Nathalie Olmi, Yann Mouhad, Julien Negro and Damien Rainaud definitely bring their own touch and interpretation, that allows The Chain Reaction to be simply a great album.
The Chain Reaction has been recorded in Nice at Artmusic Studio, and mixed by François Merle, guitarist of the famous french band MANIGANCE. The talented keyboardist of ADAGIO, Kevin Codfert, also makes a guest appearance on the album. Mastering is done by Tommy Hansen (Helloween, ...).
