Biography
HOURSWILL as a musical concept took its first steps 3 or 4 years after the beginning of the XXIst century by the hands of Nuno Peixoto on drums and José Bonito on guitars. A large number of months and some conversations about time availability later, vocalist Nuno S. Damião at last decided to join the project, and despite the search for more musicians, the line-up remained uncompleted. Even so, the trio decided to enter studio for some recording experiments.
The line-up problem was just finally solved around 2009, first with the entrance of bassist Ruben Chamusca, and afterwards with the arrival of guitarist Rodrigo Louraço. With a stable formation, the band started to promote their sound with the release of a promotional single called "Nothing divine MMIX", with a demo attempt, and several live presentations. With all that work done, during 2012, the band joined efforts with guitarist Sérgio Melo to initiate the recording and production of what would later become their first record, but, in the middle of this process, due to Rodrigo departure, Sérgio ended up naturally being a full-time band member.
With the end of the recording, mixing, and mastering sessions, 2014 saw the group getting signed by independent portuguese label Ethereal Sound Works, and the consequent release of their debut album entitled "Inevitable".
In 2015, after some promotional concerts, another change of elements took place, with two exits being promptly resolved by the return of former guitarist Rodrigo Louraço, and the integration of bassist Pedro Costa in the band.
