Yeah I expect this album to be a disappointment to all who want old Opeth back

Not that I was expecting that. It's just that I'm so happy with their Still Life - Watershed era that I don't really need them to make new music. So I just kinda checked out from what they're up to.

"never got over themselves" might very well apply to me. The new stuff they released so far may have growls but it's still nothing like Blackwater Park or Ghost Reveries.

I can swallow Tiamat gothic sound after Wildhonney album

I think the new one is appeasement for fans who never got over themselves

I'm so detached from the band's later work that I had to look up what ICV means. Not even excited about the new one, really :(

I get why people would be disappointed with the later era of Opeth but I still think Heritage and Pale Folklore are great and ICV is good as well. Sorceress can fuck off though
