I live under your skin breed and breathe send out tendrils
Thread an invasive network through your limbs infest
Your insides with spores that might bubble out and through your skin

I live on your skin you breathe me in absorbed into
Your bloodstream swim through capillaries attempt
To breach the blood-brain barrier and consume your thoughts

You sense me as bitterness you only know me because
Of the taste the acrid twist of my bitterness that sours the thoughts
From your head scours the thoughts in your head

There are no dark inclusions
And I am no longer tangible
You gouge me out of your throat
And only notice me in the dark

I glow in the dark
With some luminosity
That burns the backs of your eyes

There are no drawn conclusions
As your pen traces my veins
You draw me out of your mouth
And only hear me in the night

I know in the dark you
Can't resist my investigations
I burn inside your eyes
