01. Breathing Divinity

Music & lyrics by Jani Liimatainen
Life, so strange, mysterious
Time, so cruel and envious

These are the days of our lives
Fleeting and fading fast
These are the signs of our times
Future turning into past

Love, so strange, mysterious
Hate, so cruel and envious

These are the days of our lives
Fleeting and fading fast
These are the signs of our times
Future turning into past

Demons they call my name and guide my hand
Angels they bring the rain and now I am

Breathing in the divinity
Breathing into me
Breathing in the divinity
Breathing into me

Light, so warm and wondrous
Dark, so cold and cancerous

These are the days of our lives
Fleeting and fading fast
These are the signs of our times
Future turning into past

Demons they call my name and guide my hand
Angels they bring the rain and now I am

Breathing in the divinity
Breathing into me
Breathing in the divinity
Breathing into me

Still my beating heart, this is where we part
The road that I must walk lead where you cannot follow

This is where we part so take my bleeding heart
Keep it in the dark and burn it when the time comes

02. All Dreams Are Born To Die

Music & lyrics by Jani Liimatainen
I was never comfortable with playing the normal role
I would always try to hide the darkness in my soul
For I am not like the others
Not like others

I would try to play the part and sing the song for you
I would try to fake a smile and do as others do
Still I am not like the others
Never like the others

I silence my heart so it won’t fall apart
And stay in the dark so you can’t see me crawl

Why should I
Hope I will fall in love
Hope I will meet someone
When all light will lose to night
When all dreams are born to die

I have gotten used to this, in walking on my own
The silence is my confidant and darkness is my home
For I am not like the others
Not like others

I silence my heart so it won’t fall apart
And stay in the dark so you can’t see me crawl

Why should I
Hope I will fall in love
Hope I will meet someone
When all light will lose to night
When all dreams are born to die

I silence my heart so it won’t fall apart
And stay in the dark so you can’t see me crawl

Why should I
Hope I will fall in love
Hope I will meet someone
When all light will lose to night
When all dreams are born to die

I’ll never fall in love
I’ll never meet someone
For all light will lose to night
For all dreams are born to die

03. What Do You Want

Music & lyrics by Jani Liimatainen
Once you were a friend of mine
Once you had a heart
Once you knew right from wrong
But those days are gone

You fell with the wrong crowd
I felt I was left out
It came to an ugly end
When you fell down

Once there was a better time
Once you had my heart
Once we sang the same song
But those days are gone

Sometimes what we paid for
Is lees than we asked for
I hope you’ll get what you need
But you won’t get it from me, so…

This ain’t a place to call your own
This ain’t your heart, this ain’t your home

This aint’ your song, this ain’t your throne
This ain’t your life so sense the tone
Don’t need you near, don’t want your touch
Why are you here, what do you want

Sometimes we’ll have to go
Sometimes say goodbye
Some things are meant to break
The pieces left behind

Some vows will be broken
Some wounds remain open
Some words we need to say
No matter how it hurts

No price will keep me here
No lie will make me stay ‘cause
Those words were heard
Time and time again

This ain’t a place to call your own
This ain’t your heart, this ain’t your home

This aint’ your song, this ain’t your throne
This ain’t your life so sense the tone
Don’t need you near, don’t want your touch
Why are you here, what do you want

What do you , what do you want
What do you, what do you want

This ain’t a place to call your own
This ain’t your heart, this ain’t your home

This aint’ your song, this ain’t your throne
This ain’t your life so sense the tone
Don’t need you near, don’t want your touch
Why are you here, what do you want

This ain’t a place to call your own
This ain’t your heart, this ain’t your home

Don’t need you near, don’t want your touch
Why are you here, what do you want

04. Who Are We

Music & lyrics by Jani Liimatainen
Once we walked ‘mongst the garden of stars
Their light grew dim and soon they would fall
Once we sang ‘mongst celestial choir
Their voice grew tired and soon they sang no more

Once we set our scabrous feet on the riverbank
The days will grow dark, the river will dry
And once we build our temple to the mountaintop
The oceans will rise, the mountain will fall

Who we are will darken the sun and stars
Set the world ablaze, bring on the end of days
For who are we to tell the rain not to fall
The streams not to flow, tell the wolves not to howl

Here we stand, ‘mongst the ashes of life
A life we knew, we loved, we scorned, we burnt
Here we sing, out of key and alone
Our voice is tired and soon we’ll sing no more

Once we set our scabrous feet on the riverbank
The days did grow dark, the river did dry
An once we built our temple to the mountaintop
The oceans did rise, the mountain did fall

Who we are will darken the sun and stars
Set the world ablaze, bring on the end of days
For who are we to tell the rain not to fall
The streams not to flow, tell the wolves not to howl

Who are we to tell the sun when to shine
The thunder not to roar, tell the waves when to break

05. Side By Side

Music & lyrics by Jani Liimatainen
You had me at “hello”
Ever since can’t let go
Boy meets girl, falls in love
Things we’re all dreaming of

Let’s build a life of our own
Not a house but a home
We have time, you will see
I believe in you and me

For you caught my attention and I’m not religious
But you’re stuck underneath my skin now

So lets take just a minute to make that decision
And I know we will make it somehow

When your heart is feeling weak I’ll make it strong
And hold you in my arms when nights grow long
We’ll never get cold if we grow old side by side

When the world is moving fast we’ll take it slow
We’ll take a little dream and make it grow
We’ll never get cold if we grow old side by side

Lover come, lover go
Seasons change, rivers flow
But for me time stood still
The moment you first looked at me

See yourself through my eyes
A god’s creation so divine
You’re a song I couldn’t write
If I was given ten lifetimes

For you caught my attention and I’m not religious
But you’re stuck underneath my skin now

So lets take just a minute to make that decision
And I know we will make it somehow

When your heart is feeling weak I’ll make it strong
And hold you in my arms when nights grow long
We’ll never get cold if we grow old side by side

When the world is moving fast we’ll take it slow
We’ll take a little dream and make it grow
We’ll never get cold if we grow old side by side

06. The Music Box

Music & lyrics by Jani Liimatainen
He’s still waiting for the morning
As he sits there in the dark
He is tired and he’s hurting
But he’s still alright to smile

Though he’s broken he’s still breathing
And he’s not planning to give up
For he’s travelled far too long now
Just to fall one step from the finish line

Time after time
He played the same old song
With his one and only friend, the music box

That melody
Worn and tattered, torn and battered
Still so beautiful

He was fighting for wrong reasons
And in the end he was left with only pain
The dust had landed, war was over
All was lost and nothing gained

It’s not easy to seize the moment
When you’re not quite sure where you belong
But the sleeper has now awaken
And he remembers everything
The melody, the song he used to sing

The answer lies within
He’s tried so many times and Lord knows
That we love to see our heroes fall
The nights have grown so long
The beggar’s crown grew heavier
As the days they wore him down

Tired old man with his heart in hand remembers
The sound that he once loved
The music box is still his sole companion
Though fractured and broken

For so long he has lived a lie but no more
He won’t be remembered
As someone who he never wished to be
And this tired old man is me

He puts his coat on, takes one last look
Shuts the door and walked away
So turn the lights on, close the curtain
The clown has left the stage

Sun’s still shining, children laughing
You could think that really nothing’s changed
But look closer, in the corner
An empty chair and on the table
Playing alone the wooden music box

My sole companion for so long I have lived a lie but no more
So please remembered

The tired old man with his heard in hand has now gone
The sound that I once loved
My music box still playing in the dark

07. Into The Fray

Music & lyrics by Jani Liimatainen
Once your heart was full of hopes and dreams
Once your heart was open
Once your eyes could see for miles and miles
Once you felt alive

Once my heart was young and unafraid
Once my rhymes were complete
Once my dreams were not all made of nightmares
Once but not tonight

Here we go once again into the unknown
Look deep into my eyes
While the stars are falling from the skies

Into the fray
To the day of reckoning
Into the fire
To the night that’s beckoning

Into the dark
To the heart of tragedy
Into the fray
To the fight for our lives

No one else can touch my heart like you do
No one else can hurt me
No on e else can make you feel as I do
No one else but I

Here we go once again into the unknown
Look deep into my eyes
When the stars have fallen from the skies

Into the fray
To the day of reckoning
Into the fire
To the night that’s beckoning

Into the dark
To the heart of tragedy
Into the fray
To the fight for our lives

One heart will break
One heart is left behind
One dream will die
One dream will learn to fly

08. I Could Stop Now

Music & lyrics by Jani Liimatainen
You say there’s a heaven above our heaven
We’ll reach it if only we try
But hope can turn into a burden
And I’m going out of my mind

You say that we need to take chances
And fortune it favours the few
But there’s something that I haven’t told you

I could stop now, could turn around here
I could go ack to where I was
I could pretend like I belong there
But I’d be lying to myself

I wish you will heal and find all that you look for
I hope that you’ll survive this fall
I hope one day I’ll see you running
But first you must learn how to crawl

You said that we need to take chances
And fortune it favours the bold
So live your life before you grow too old

I could stop now, could turn around here
I could go ack to where I was
I could pretend like I belong there
But I’d be lying to myself

I could break now, could lose my way here
I could go back to who I was
I could pretend like I still love you
But I’d be lying to you too

09. Haunted House

Music & lyrics by Jani Liimatainen
This used to be our house, used to be our home
Used to be a place we0d call our own
This used to be the house I built for you
This used to be a place I’d run to

It’s empty now, so empty now

These walls were meant to be her sanctuary
This floor would be the floor where she’d learn to walk
This room would be the room where she’d sleep at night
While I was next door sleeping by your side

It’s empty now, so empty now
It’s empty now, so empty now

It’s empty now, so empty now
It’s empty now, so empty now

This used to be the roof that would shelter me
Used to be the home where my heart would be
I don’t even know how many years it’s been
Since she never came and you ran from me
I’m empty now

It’s empty now, so empty now
It’s empty now, so empty now

It’s empty now, so empty now
It’s empty now, so empty now

10. My Father's Son

Music & lyrics by Jani Liimatainen
A man unwavering
Silence deafening sometimes

Your demons do not hide
They’ve walked right by your side
Your whole life

I thought I always knew I am not like you
If I’ll have a child I will raise him right

I’ll do things differently, I will never be
A stranger to my son, a father to no one

The seasons come and go
The raindrops turn to snow
Snow will melt away
What’s green will turn to grey

The day will turn to night
The shadow into light
Aeons disappear
But I am still right there

The last one of my kind
Relentless in my pride
Unable to hold on
Unable to move on

I guess I am afraid
I’m bound into his fate
When all is said and done
Am I my father’s son

A man unwavering
Silence deafening sometimes

Your demons do not hide
They’ve walked right by your side
Your whole life

I thought I always knew I am not like you
If I’ll have a child I will raise him right

I’ll do things differently, I will never be
A stranger to my son, a father to no one

The seasons come and go
The raindrops turn to snow
Snow will melt away
What’s green will turn to grey

The day will turn to night
The shadow into light
Aeons disappear
But I am still right there

The last one of my kind
Relentless in my pride
Unable to hold on
Unable to move on

I guess I am afraid
I’m bound into his fate
When all is said and done
I am my father’s son

Like you I’ll walk alone
Like you I’ll dream alone
All you were I’ll be too

Is this the role I was given
Is this the part I must play
Is this the life I have chosen
Or did you choose it for me

For you

You were there when I came to be
Now I am here watching you go
Is yours the road I must follow
Am I a man of my own

Softly, so gently you’re breathing
But slowly, so slowly you’re leaving
Forgive me as I do forgive you
Forgive me as I will forgive you

There’s nothing more to say
But words beneath my name
“now all is said and done
He was his father’s son”
