For director John Carpenter's Ghosts Of Mars soundtrack, music producer Bruce Robb called upon Guns N' Roses guitarists Buckethead and Robin Finck, along with some other famous rock musician friends - legendary metal guitar player Steve Vai, Anthrax and Elliot Easton. The results yielded an award-winning soundtrack, and Buckethead can been seen in the DVD behind-the-scenes bonus feature filmed while recording in Robb's Cherokee Studios.

Buckethead has a band with Bill Moseley called "CornBugs".

"Death Cube K" is an anagram for Buckethead. This was also his alter-ego name for one of his solo albums.

Buckethead's guitar influences are Angus Young, Yngwie Malmsteen and Randy Rhoads.

Buckethead has written and performed music for major motion pictures, including: Saw II, Ghosts Of Mars, Beverly Hills Ninja, Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, Last Action Hero, and the main soundtrack of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie.

Buckethead performs primarily as a solo artist. He has collaborated extensively with a wide variety of high profile artists such as Bill Laswell, Bootsy Collins, Bernie Worrell, Iggy Pop, Les Claypool, Serj Tankian, Bill Moseley, Mike Patton, Viggo Mortensen, That 1 Guy, and was a member of Guns N' Roses from 2000 to 2004.

Buckethead has been voted number 8 on a list in GuitarOne magazine of the Top 10 Greatest Guitar Shredders Of All Time as well as being included in Guitar World's lists of the 25 All-Time Weirdest Guitarists and is also known for being in the 50 Fastest Guitarists Of All Time list.

Buckethead used to wear a KFC bucket on his head, emblazoned with an orange bumper sticker that read funeral in capital black block letters, and an expressionless plain white costume mask. More recently, he switched to a plain white bucket that no longer bore the KFC logo, but has since switched back to his trademark KFC bucket. He also incorporates nunchucks and robot dancing into his stage performances.
