David DiSanto's sci-fi obsession started with 1983 film Spacehunter: Adventures In The Forbidden Zone, which follows the story of a bounty hunter on a mission to rescue three women stranded on a brutal planet.

The band used to be known as Locrian in 2003 before changing their name to Vektor in 2004.
