Rainbow - Trivia
Drummer Cozy Powell made headlines when he appeared on the BBC children's programme Record Breakers where he set a world record for being the world's fastest drummer live on television.
Ritchie Blackmore wrote Rainbow's classic jam "Stargazer" on a cello.
In October of 1977, Ritchie Blackmore was arrested for breaking the jaw of a security guard. The guard did not like Ritchie, and at the time of the concert, was beating up a 13 year old girl, whom was trying to get closer to the stage, to see the performance. Ritchie then kicked him in the jaw, from on stage. He was arrested shortly after the performance. This happened three days before the concert of what was to become the Live In Munich performance. |
