Arckanum is noted for writing lyrics resembling Old Swedish. Johan Lahger has stated that he tries to write his lyrics as grammatically correct as he can. In his latest two albums however, the language is clearly meant to resemble Old Icelandic.

Main man Johan Lahger released his first book in 2009, entitled Panparadox, and is currently working on two more books. Panparadox deals with the anti-cosmic, chaos-gnostic and satanic philosophy, and mysticism around the misrepresented contemptuous god and black magical chaos-philosophy.
