Bal-Sagoth - Trivia

In December of 1995, two Bal-Sagoth shows with Cradle Of Filth were cancelled due to the vocalist Byron injuring himself while stage-diving at a Cannibal Corpse concert.
Bal-Sagoth have a sponsorship with a replica arms & armour supplier, Battle Orders Ltd., who supplied Byron with an array of swords and other replica materials that he often uses on stage and in publicity photos.
Singer Byron Roberts graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with an Honours Degree in English, writing his final year thesis on the genres of pulp fantasy, science fiction and horror, and more specifically the works of H.P. Lovecraft.
Bal-Sagoth's name comes from Robert E. Howard's collection of stories entitled ''The Gods Of Bal-Sagoth.''
