The band's name is also the name of the protagonist of the movie Last Action Hero, portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Vocalist Stefan Horn is a huge fan of movies and TV series. The title of the instrumental "4 8 15 16 23 42" on the band's final album Extinction Aftermath is a direct reference to the series Lost. In the series the numbers are part of the fictional Valenzetti Equation which is supposed to determine the date on which mankind will destroy itself.

The song "Omniscience" on the same album takes its lyrics from the anime series The Big O, namely from the speech of the character Schwarzwald in act 17 ("Leviathan"). The speech can be found on Youtube, e.g. here.

Vocalist Stefan Horn used to operate the flash website ballz.de . The episodes of his cartoon character "El Tonno", a tuna fish, were later aired on the German late-night comedy show Elton.tv. The site was discontinued in 2005 after Horn got into legal trouble over using a snippet from a copyrighted song. In 2011 he launched a new cartoon site called Tooncraft.
