Artillery will enter the recording studio on the 29th of November to record a follow up to their very successful album When Death Comes (2009). New material will be recorded again at Medley Studios in Denmark with Søren Andersen as producer.

Guitarist Michael Stützer says: "Artillery is very excited to start working on the follow up to When Death Comes, which received such a great response from both fans and media. It´s great to go back to the studio only 1 1/2 year after our last effort, to show the fans that Artillery is working very hard to make new recordings and to tour again. And this time it won't take us 10 years to make a new album! We feel that the new songs will continue the style and production of our last efforts and we are looking forward to play new songs live for the best and most dedicated fans of metal."

The forthcoming yet untitled album will be released by Metal Mind Productions in mid 2011.

The recordings kick off with drums, in a marine environment at Seawolf Studios, Helsinki and continue in various places during the summer. Montreal-based death metallers Neuraxis will enter Wildsound Studio on June 3 with producer Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Last Felony, The Agonist) to begin recording their sixth album for a fall release through Prosthetic Records.

Commented vocalist Alex Leblanc: "Chris is an excellent producer. He's been a friend of mine for years, played in some bands with him and already worked with him in the studio on some other projects. He's also the most easy going guy around. Working with him is going to be a blast for sure.

We are almost done with the writing process for the new album; maybe one or two more songs to go.

It's going to be a powerful album. Dark, vicious, catchy, technical, melodic; everything you can expect from a Neuraxis album with some unexpected twists.

We have two more shows this weekend, then we will rehearse the new songs for a month, putting the final touches and get ready to shred in the studio.

Abysmal Dawn will begin recording the follow-up album to their Relapse debut Programmed To Consume this May at Trench Studio in Corona, CA with John Haddad (Phobia, Intronaut, Hirax). The album will be mixed by Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, Vital Remains, Cannibal Corpse) at his Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, FL. A fall release date is expected.

Abysmal Dawn's Charles Elliot commented on the upcoming album: "It's always great to work with John Haddad, whom we've worked with on our previous two releases. This time we thought we'd try something a little different though as far as the mix goes. After to speaking to Erik Rutan at great length we know he's the man for the job. He's a living legend and knows how real death metal should sound! Everyone in the band is really excited to be working with him and we know this is going to be our most crushing release yet. We've been hard at work demoing all the material before we enter the studio and things sound amazing already! This will be our catchiest yet most extreme and technical release to date.

We're also happy to be working with our new drummer Scott Fuller (ex-Havok, ex-Skitzo, ex-Ashes Of Icons). Scott comes from more of a thrash background but was born to play death metal and has never had the outlet for that until now. So far it's been a real pleasure to be in a band with someone with the same fire for this music as Mike and I again. A fitting replacement for Terry with even more chops to boot."

"Hey there, just a quick update from the rehearsal space for you guys: the songwriting process is going fluently, we´re focused and very close to wrapping this thing up! We are very confident about the song material, this one is going to be a beast.

We will enter the studio in June to work on this next record which will be released in the fall of this year via Metal Blade Records. In compliance with the back-to-the-roots approach to this record, we will record the drums at Stage One Studio with the Mr. Myiagi among metal producers, Andy Classen, who already produced our first record, The Rising Tide Of Oblivion. On April 10 Mesopotamian metal pioneers Melechesh will enter the studio to record their 5th and as of yet untitled album for a period of 4-5 weeks... In unprecedented move in Metal, the band has chosen to record the album in Istanbul in an attempt to capture the inspiring surroundings. Babajim Studios which opened their doors this week is run by some of the elite sound Engineers in Turkey. The album is set to be released in summer 2010 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Commented Ashmedi: "We have been looking for a place to record that can offer us an inspiring surrounding. We also decided to stay true to our spirits, to break the Mold (again) and also to defy the norm, hence we will record in Istanbul; you see the norm is to record westwards it is rather customary, we want to head eastwards. So, Istanbul seemed the best place since This is the city where the east and west meet, mesh, clash, blend, collide etc. and has been as such for milleniums. The music is definitely Melechesh and as always, this album has its own characteristic."

The band is now locked again in the rehearsing studio with Guitarist Moloch arriving to Amsterdam next week from Virginia, USA. The song writing is 90% complete.

Visions Of Atlantis have booked studio time in May. Here's the update from the band:

"Just wanted to inform you that the plans for the next months are clear now and that we'll enter the Dreamscape Studios right after our appearance at the Metalfest Austria on May 14th to finalize our fourth album, which will be released late autumn this year!

Parallel to that we'll also have the fotoshoot for our new official promotional pictures, which will be published of course before the new album, but more on that later. Also one more cool show right before releasing the album will be announced very soon when everything's fixed and confirmed with the local organizer, stay tuned for that as it will be a very special appearance just right before the rebirth of Visions Of Atlantis.

Stay tuned for a huge wave of information right after easter and a very very detailed studio-diary including pics, vids, blogs by the VoA-members and of course the information about the title of our new album and even more stuff... UK metallers Power Quest have issued the following update:

"Power Quest are pleased to announce that they will be returning to the recording studio on July 5th, 2010 to begin recording their 5th, as yet untitled, album. This will be their second offering for Napalm Records and will be the first to feature the new look Power Quest line up.

Recording will take place at Remaster Studio in Vicenza, Italy and will be produced by Nick Savio. This fantastic studio was where the majority of the Master of Illusion album was recorded. Band leader Steve Williams commented, "It's going to be great to be back in Italy and to be working with Nick again and I'm expecting to run into one or two very familiar faces during the recording process!"

Prior to this, the band will be demoing three new tracks for the record company at the end of March at Aubitt Studios in Southampton. The following songs are set for inclusion in the recordings: "Sacrifice", "Time To Burn" and "Rising Anew"."
