Southern Lord has announced a deluxe reissue of the album Dopesmoker from US stoner metallers Sleep.

The following press release was issued: "For the 2012 reissue, there are some very notable changes. The original studio tapes have been remastered presenting the album as the band had originally intended. The audio is clearer, louder, and at last brings a true representation of Sleep's hour-plus Weedian chronicle. Exclusive to this Southern Lord edition is brand new artwork by long time Sleep artist Arik Roper, to be unveiled in the coming weeks. Additionally, this reborn version of Dopesmoker boasts an unreleased live recording of one of the band's best all-time performances: 'Holy Mountain' from San Francisco's I-Beam in 1994."

After reissuing Cowboys From Hell in 2010, US legends Pantera plan on doing the same with Vulgar Display Of Power this year and drummer Vinnie Paul said in a recent interview with Loudwire that the forthcoming Vulgar Display Of Power 20th anniversary reissue will feature a previously unreleased song titled "Piss". The release date for the reissue hasn't been set yet and no further details were revealed.

The follow-up album to Human, Individual Thought Patterns has been remixed by Alan Douches and re-packaged to include a second and third bonus disc worth of previously unreleased demos and a full live set recorded in Germany during a 1993 European tour. Also included on the third bonus disc exclusive to this re-issue are rare riff tracks from the Chuck Schuldiner archives.

Individual Thought Patterns is available today in North America (on October 28th in the Benelux/Germany, and October 31st in the UK and rest of Europe) as a deluxe 3-disc set, a 2-disc standard set, and a deluxe digital download. Death's seventh and final album The Sound Of Perseverance will see its official reissue on February 15th in North America (February 21 internationally) via Relapse Records and is available for pre-order now at this location.

The first in a series of official Death re-issues slated for 2011, The Sound Of Perseverance has been remastered from the original studio tapes and expanded to include a second disc of previously unreleased demo material. Canadian-based Sonic Unyon Metal are proud to announce that they'll officially reissue Concealed, the classic first album from progressive death metal outfit Augury, this March.

Originally released in 2004 via Galy Records, this updated version features a fully remastered recording of the album, also expanded to include two bonus tracks from the band's 2006 demo. This definitive edition will also be packaged in a new digipak format, designed by Sven De Calluwe of Aborted.

Formed in Montreal, Quebec at the end of 2001, Augury immediately made an impact in the Canadian death metal scene with their technical/classically-inspired progressive death metal attack. The unit entered the studio with Yannick St-Amand (Martyr, Unexpect) in 2004 to record their Concealed debut. The record was mixed by Jean-Francois Dagenais (Kataklysm, Misery Index) and then set loose upon the anxious public. After the release of Concealed, Augury signed with Nuclear Blast Records, who in 2009 unveiled the band's critically acclaimed 2009 album Fragmentary Evidence, further cementing the band's name into the upper ranks of the progressive death scene.

Sonic Unyon Metal will re-unleash Concealed to North American audiences on March 8th, 2011.

Pantheist are thrilled to announce that after several months of negotiations, the band has signed a contract with German label Grau Records to release their upcoming album as well as two additional optional albums.

The official press release reads as follows: "We have been following Grau for years and have always been impressed by the quality of their material, so we feel honoured to be part of their family now. We thank Tom for his trust and we are already in the process of mixing our fourth album with Greg Chandler at Priory Studios. We are fully confident that this upcoming album, that is bound to remain untitled to signify the new start in our history, contains the most powerful, emotive and heartfelt material we have produced so far and we are impatient to finish mixing and mastering in January for a projected spring 2011 release. You can find photographs of us recording in the studio, as well as some short clips, on our Facebook and MySpace pages.

In other news, we regret to inform you that after having been a core member of the band since 2004, Mark Bodossian (Esoteric) is leaving Pantheist to move to Norway. Mark joined the band during the recording sessions of Amartia and he also participated in the recordings of The Pains of Sleep, Journey Through Lands Unknown, Unveiling the Signs as well as our upcoming album which we are still in the process of mixing. Furthermore, he has played tens of gigs with us, as well as participating at a tour with Skepticism and Ophis in 2008. We wish him the best of luck with all his future endeavours.

We are currently rehearsing with Aleksej Obradovic (ex-De Profundis) on bass and are quite confident that he will be up to the difficult task of filling in Mark's shoes.

Finally, Pantheist are among the confirmed bands for a doom metal festival that will take place in Dordrecht (The Netherlands) on the 14th of May. More details will be made known about this soon. We will play several more gigs and are planning a small tour around the release of our next album (likely to take place in spring 2011) so any interested promoters, both in and outside the UK, please get in touch for bookings now."
