Iron Maiden - Bruce Dickinson Now Cancer Free

While this day is overshadowed by the death of legendary guitarist/singer B.B. King, there is good news today as well. The Iron Maiden camp is pleased to announce that the doctors have given Bruce Dickinson the all-clear after his cancer treatments. He underwent chemotherapy and radiology to treat a cancerous tumor at the back of his tongue. Now the frontman can't wait to get back in business. However, the band will not be touring or playing any shows until next year, focusing instead on putting the finishing touches to the new Iron Maiden studio album.

Iron Maiden - Update On Bruce Dickinson's Condition

Last month, Iron Maiden shocked fans by announcing that their legendary frontman Bruce Dickinson underwent chemotherapy and radiology to treat a cancerous tumor at the back of his tongue. Now the group's manager Rod Smallwood has released an update. According to Smallwood, Bruce is on the road to recovery and everyone remains optimistic. Iron Maiden's plans will be determined by Bruce's progress. Recently, the heavy metallers drummer Nicko McBrain confirmed in an interview that the band's new album is ready but the launch has been delayed while Bruce Dickinson recovers.

Iron Maiden - Bruce Dickinson Undergoes Cancer Treatment

Iron Maiden surprised fans today with unexpected and worrying news. According to the band, just before Christmas, the band's legendary vocalist Bruce Dickinson visited his doctor for a routine check-up. This led to tests and biopsies which revealed a small cancerous tumour at the back of his tongue. A seven week course of chemotherapy and radiology treatment was completed yesterday. As the tumour was caught in the early stages, the prognosis is extremely good. Hopefully, Bruce Dickinson will win this battle and make a complete recovery.

Iron Maiden - Hint At Return To The Studio

Iron Maiden's last album was The Final Frontier released back in 2010. But the band's next album could be in the works. In a Christmas card sent out to members of their fan club, and signed by the band members, the legendary heavy metallers hinted that a new studio album is looming on the horizon. The card features the band's mascot Eddie emerging from the studio along with a sign saying "Uroton 51." Some fans have interpreted the message "Uroton 51" to mean "On Tour 15".

Iron Maiden - Last Batch Of '80s Vinyl Reissues On The Way

Parlophone Records (BMG/INgrooves Music Group for the USA) follow the 2012/13 Iron Maiden vinyl picture disc reissues of the first eight Iron Maiden albums, which spanned the 1980s, with brand new pressings of the albums in heavyweight 180g black vinyl. In conjunction with these premium album releases, a strictly limited one-off run of the 7" singles from each respective album will be made available. These highly collectable black vinyl singles will be cut from the original analogue master tapes. Iron Maiden - To Headline Arras Main Square Festival

Iron Maiden will headline the opening night of the Arras Main Square Festival in France on July 3rd. The four day festival takes place between July 3rd-6th. The band's 2014 tour will include dates in countries not visited during the 2013 leg and will be a much shorter run than is usual for a Maiden tour. Sonisphere UK 2014 - Metallica And Iron Maiden Headlining

After being cancelled in 2012 and taking a year off in 2013, the Sonisphere festival will return to the UK next year and Iron Maiden and Metallica will make history when they co-headline the Sonisphere Festival in Knebworth, the very first time both bands have appeared together on a British bill, and the only concerts either band will play in the UK in 2014.

The Iron Maidens - Band Pays Homage To Their Heroes

There are a lot of "Tribute" bands out there these days but one does stand out among the rest; The Iron Maidens, the world's only all-female Iron Maiden tribute band.

Iron Maiden - London Show Sells Out In 12 Minutes, Add Second Show

Iron Maiden have announced a second show at London's O2 Arena for August 4th after the first of their scheduled shows sold out in just 12 minutes. The band have stated it will definitely be the band's last UK show this year as soon after they head off for a few selected US shows before a trip around Latin America including headlining Rock In Rio and National Stadiums in Mexico, Chile and Argentina. The British heavy metallers also recently played at Download Festival 2013 at Donington Park.

Iron Maiden - Latin American Dates, Slayer And Ghost Supporting

British heavy metal legends Iron Maiden's year keeps getting fuller and fuller. Now they have announced their return to Argentina this summer to make their first-ever appearance at the legendary River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires on September 27th. They will also be making a first-ever visit to Paraguay on September 29th to play the Jockey Club in Asuncion. On October 2nd, they will return to headline the Estadio Nacional in Santiago, Chile, where the Blu-ray/DVD En Vivo was filmed in 2011.

Iron Maiden - To Return To The US, Shows With Megadeth

On the day that the Iron Lady passes, Iron Maiden has announced their brief return to the USA this September, where they will be playing seven specially selected shows en-route to Latin America where they will once again headline at the legendary Rock In Rio festival, Brazil, on September 22nd, already sold out. Iron Maiden - Former Drummer Clive Burr Passes Away

It is a sad day for the Iron Maiden family. Clive Burr, the drummer who played with Iron Maiden on their first three albums, Iron Maiden, Killers and The Number Of The Beast, has passed away. It has been announced by the band themselves on their official website: "We are deeply saddened to report that Clive Burr passed away last night. He had suffered poor health for many years after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and died peacefully in his sleep at home."

Iron Maiden - Releasing Maiden England '88 DVD, Trailer Online

EMI has announced that it will be releasing yet another Iron Maiden DVD. This time it will be the double disc Maiden England '88 on March 25th. Now available for the very first time on DVD, this live show was filmed across two sold-out nights at Birmingham N.E.C Arena, UK in November 1988 during the band's Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son World Tour. The Maiden England '88 concert soundtrack will also be made available on 2CD album, limited edition double vinyl picture disc and digital download formats. Iron Maiden - To Headline Spanish Sonisphere In Madrid & Barcelona

Iron Maiden will headline the two Sonisphere festivals in Spain this summer and thus play in almost every single summer festival in Europe this year. The Madrid show takes place at the Miguel Rios Auditorium on Friday May 31st and the Barcelona show takes place at the Parc Del Forum on Saturday June 1st.

Sabaton - Doing Some Shows With Iron Maiden

Swedish power metallers Sabaton have confirmed on their official website that they will be touring with Iron Maiden this summer and accompany them on some shows in Sweden and Russia. The band's latest release, Carolus Rex, came out in May 2012.
