Nightwish - Announce Shows In Finland With Special Guests
Nightwish just announced two big stadium shows in their home country of Finland for summer 2015. The band will perform at Joensuu and Tampere. The shows promise to be special as they will be joined by Children Of Bodom, Sonata Arctica and Insomnium (Joensuu only) for these shows.

Nightwish - Richard Dawkins To Guest On New Album, Cruises In 2015
Nightwish, who are currently recording their new album, have revealed one special guest to be featured on the new release. His name is Professor Richard Dawkins (author of The Selfish Gene) who has been one of Tuomas Holopainen's favorite authors. The band was in London last week at Angel Studios for the recordings of the orchestral parts, which also will feature fiddler Dermot Crehan (Lord Of The Rings OST), and finished them off before heading back to Finland for the last finishing touches.

Nightwish - Announce 2015 North American Tour
As you know, symphonic metal heavyweights Nightwish are currently working on their new album. Today the band announces their 27-date headlining tour through North America for 2015, launching in New York City on April 9th, hitting three Canadian cities plus Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, then closing out in Silver Springs, Maryland on May 14th. The opening act will be Dutch symphonic metallers Delain. See the full dates below.

Nightwish - First Show Of New World Tour Announced
Nightwish just announced the first show of their new world tour starting in the spring of next year. The first show will be in the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, US on May 1st, 2015. Nightwish - Release 'Last Of The Wilds' Special Clip
As they continue to work on their next album that will feature drummer Kai Hahto, Nightwish are sharing a series of five special clips, with impressions of the Imaginaerum world tour. Nightwish - Ink North American Deal With Nuclear Blast Entertainment
Finland-based symphonic metallers Nightwish are proud to announce their newly-inked North American deal with Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The band's as-yet-untitled eighth studio album will be the first to feature new Dutch vocalist Floor Jansen, who has toured with the band since October 2012. Recordings of the new Nightwish material are slated begin this summer. Band members have already spent time in the wilderness of Hattula, Finland working on new song demos with producer Tero "TeeCee" Kinnumen.

Nightwish - New Album Update
Nightwish continue working on their new album which will feature the new members, singer Floor Jansen and Troy Donockley (uilleann pipes, low whistles, vocals). The band's mastermind Tuomas Holopainen recently posted an update about the progress of the new Nightwish album. So far, there are 12 new songs and some demo recordings. Their plan is to have the album ready in January next year.

Elize Ryd - Shares Audition Song For Nightwish
Many years later, Amaranthe singer Elize Ryd has posted online an audio recording of her singing the Nightwish song "Nemo" (from Once). Elize Ryd laid down the vocals for the track in 2006 when the Finnish symphonic metallers were seeking a replacement for Tarja Turunen. If you are curious about it, you can listen to her take on the song below from the audition. Anette Olzon ended up being the chosen one at the time but in 2012 the band parted ways with Olzon as well.
